Finance can feel intimidating at first glance – filled with jargon, confusing charts, and political headlines that change constantly.  But behind the complexity of finance lies the opportunity to understand how economies work and how investors can navigate them.

A deeper understanding of the financial world provides clearer insight into the world around us, helping us to navigate our own political and economic perspectives, and recognise how global economic forces influence our everyday lives.

I am a final year university student studying economics looking to progress into a career in finance, with an ever-growing interest in global markets, trade & investment, and how economic policies shape society. I created Finance Figured to make sense of financial news, sharpen my investment skills, and share what I learn along the way. Essentially, this blog is written by students for students, trying to make sense of finance together.
